Wood Floors Designed for Underfloor Heating
Admonter Natural Wood Floors are ideally suited for underfloor heating systems. They have been designed to allow for a maximum surface temperature of 29°C in accord with the BS EN 1264 Part 2 regulation which sets 29°C as the maximum surface temperature for floors. The only exception is Beech. This wood type tends to increase crack formation, which is why it is not advisable to use it for installation over underfloor heating systems
Recommended underfloor heating systems:
Low-temperature floor heating systems are recommended (surface temperature up to 29°C). Installation on electrical heating systems (heating mats) is also possible in general, however any form of concentrated heat in one area must be avoided! (shelves, low Futon beds, etc.) Please consult your heating installation technician.
